The PADI Adventures In Diving program offers two certification options. Complete any three Adventure Dives to earn the PADI Adventure Diver rating. Divers between the ages of 12-14 can earn a Junior Advanced Open Water Diver rating. The maximum recommended depth for adventure dive is 30 metres/100 feet.

PADI Adventure Divers and Advanced Open Water Divers (15 years of age and older) may participate in PADI Wreck and Deep Diver Specialities. PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification lets you continue on to the PADI Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver course. And, provided you meet minimum age requirements for individual courses, you may take PADI Specialities such as Cavern Diver (18 years), Semiclosed Rebreather-Dolphin/Atlantis/Ray (15 years), and Search and Recovery (12 years).

What's more, PADI Adventure Dives also count towards PADI Speciality Diver certifications. For example, if you like night diving and want to earn your PADI Night Diver rating, your Night Adventure Dive counts as the first dive of the speciality.
