The PADI Skin Diver program takes your underwater adventures to new depths literally! During your program you'll learn about the equipment, diving science, the environment, problem management and the local area. In addition, youll practice techniques of breath hold skin diving, entering the water, checking your buoyancy, surface swimming, snorkel clearing. It'll also build your confidence in your skin diving abilities and help you to explore the mysteries of the aquatic realm. The PADI Skin Diver program is also an excellent pre-training experience for children who want to explore the possibilities but are too young to dive with scuba in the open water or before trying the PADI Bubblemaker program. As a module of the PADI Open Water Diver program, the PADI Scuba Diver rating allows you to get certified quickly and easily by minimising time constraints. With the PADI Scuba Diver certification you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Instructor or higher professional on your next vacation or dive trip. This program is a wonderful opportunity to explore the underwater world with the comfort and safety of having an experienced guide with you at all times. The knowledge and skills you learn in this program are just the beginning of an exciting array of courses and programs that await you. With a PADI Scuba Diver certification card, you will be able to obtain air fills, scuba equipment and other services for diving under supervision. After completing the program, youll want to continue your dive education and the PADI Open Water Diver certification to explore more dive opportunities. After completing the PADI Advance Open Water certification youll have the chance to participate in some of the many specialty courses including underwater photography, dry suit diving, or the Project AWARE fish identification Specialty. During the course of the program you will use the PADI Open Water Diver Manual and Video or multimedia CD-ROM. Credit earned in this program can be used toward the Open Water Diver certification. The Open Water Diver course uses the same materials as the Scuba Diver course, so already you are on your way to continuing further dive adventures. Anyone aged 15 or over qualifies for the PADI Scuba Diver program. If you are between the ages of 10 and 14, a PADI Junior Scuba Diver program is available. A PADI Instructor will ask you to complete some paperwork, which includes a medical questionnaire, Liability Release, and a Safe Diving Statement. After the paperwork is complete and you have the necessary signatures, it's time to dive! a certified diver and have been out of the water for a while The Scuba Review program consists of two parts - a Knowledge Review and a Confined Water Skills Review. The Knowledge Review segment covers basic safety information you learned during your entry-level training. The only material you need is the Scuba Tune Up Multimedia or the guidebook.
Throughout the course, youll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You will also earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification that is recognised worldwide. You earn this rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water dives. As a certified PADI Open Water Diver you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional. If you already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified, check with your instructor to see how credit from these courses may apply to the open water program.
