Diving in Limassol, DIVE DIVE DIVE!

The perfect way to get wet and explore the pristine waters of Cyprus this summer season is to ‘Dive-In'.

Whether you have a burning desire to dive, or just the slightest curiosity, here's what to do. On Mondays and Thursdays get yourself down to the Splash Pool just prior to 3.00pm and go for a complimentary ‘Try Dive'. It's all downward swimming from there on.

Diving is a very relaxing and rewarding experience. It can begin with your children. Bubblemaker is a fun diving programme for children aged 8 - 10 years. Children learn important concepts of diving safety as well as having lots of supervised underwater fun and games.

The entry-level ‘Discover Scuba Diving' course for anyone aged 10 and over will get you kick-started. It includes a safety briefing, a pool dive followed by a fish-feeding Dive-In the bay, with all necessary equipment provided. Two and a half hours is all it takes to complete this course and it can count towards your certification as well. Obtaining a PADI certificate will certainly not be taxing on your holiday time, and requires only one and a half days for the PADI Scuba Diver or a commitment of two full days and two half days for a full PADI open water Diver's licence. The minimum age is 10 years.

Qualified divers are not neglected: wreck dives, night dives and customized trips are also available. All you seasoned divers out there, don't return home without doing the Zenobia Wreck Dive. It is a must! This location is considered one of the 10 best wreck dives in the world, and the experienced professionals at ‘Dive-In' will show you the best of the wreck and many other Cyprus locations, including the famous Akrotiri Fish Reserve. The underwater world opens up to a kaleidoscopic array of green sea turtles, cuttlefish and octopuses. Gaze in awe at grouper, sea gardens of sponges and, if you're very lucky, share the experience of a lifetime as you swim near bottlenose and spinner dolphins.

For those who find the underwater world a little daunting, yet still want to be a part of the action, there's room on board our boats to come out and snorkel above the divers around the Akrotiri peninsula where the waters are crystal clear.

When you tire of all the play, there is still plenty of space for swimming. Here the waters are safe and calm. You can part-wade, part-swim and part-float a fair way without going beyond your depth, and the presence of lifeguards on the beach adds to your sense of security. Incidentally, the Four Seasons foreshore is endorsed as a "European Blue Flag" beach. This means there are a number of criteria that have been fulfilled in accordance with the relevant European Union Directive, including the quality of bathing water, management and safety of the area.
