Discover Scuba
If you've always wanted to try scuba diving
- then jump in! This is the adult equivalent of Bubblemaker and your
chance to breathe underwater in a fun, convenient session conducted
in a pool.
Whether you watch the short PADI Discover Scuba video, or are
briefed with the Discover Scuba Diving Flip Chart, you'll enter the
water ready for your scuba adventure. After you and your instructor
strap on your scuba gear, you'll have the chance to dive down to 6
metres/20 feet.
As soon as you Discover Scuba, you're on your way to an
internationally recognized certification. That's because you may
learn skills from the PADI Open Water Diver course during your
Discover Scuba adventure. If you and your instructor elect to
practice these skills, they may be credited to the PADI Scuba Diver
or Open Water Diver certifications.
What does all that mean? Go diving, practice some skills with your
instructor, get a head start on your PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water
Diver certification!
To go on your Discover Scuba adventure, you must be at least 10
years or older and complete the Discover Scuba Statement (which
includes a medical questionnaire).

Discover Scuba DivingThe PADI Skin Diver program takes your underwater adventures to new depths – literally!
During your program you'll learn about the equipment, diving science, the environment, problem management and the local area. In addition, you'll practice techniques of breath hold skin diving, entering the water, checking your buoyancy, surface swimming, snorkel clearing. It'll also build your confidence in your skin diving abilities and help you to explore the mysteries of the aquatic realm.
The PADI Skin Diver program is also an excellent pre-training experience for children who want to explore the possibilities but are too young to dive with scuba in the open water or before trying the PADI Bubblemaker program.

PADI Scuba DiverThinking of getting certified for an upcoming vacation, but don't have the time to put into a regular diver course? Now there's a quick and easy program designed especially for you! This is your chance to slap on some fins, strap on a mask and experience an intense adventure in a short amount of time. The PADI Scuba Diver program is a pre-entry level certification that is perfect for holidaymakers or for people who only plan to dive a couple of times a year.
As a module of the PADI Open Water Diver program, the PADI Scuba Diver rating allows you to get certified quickly and easily by minimising time constraints. With the PADI Scuba Diver certification you can dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor, Instructor or higher professional on your next vacation or dive trip. This program is a wonderful opportunity to explore the underwater world with the comfort and safety of having an experienced guide with you at all times. The knowledge and skills you learn in this program are just the beginning of an exciting array of courses and programs that await you. With a PADI Scuba Diver certification card, you will be able to obtain air fills, scuba equipment and other services for diving under supervision. After completing the program, you'll want to continue your dive education and the PADI Open Water Diver certification to explore more dive opportunities. After completing the PADI Advance Open Water certification you'll have the chance to participate in some of the many specialty courses including underwater photography, dry suit diving, or the Project AWARE fish identification Specialty.
During the course of the program you will use the PADI Open Water Diver Manual and Video or multimedia CD-ROM. Credit earned in this program can be used toward the Open Water Diver certification. The Open Water Diver course uses the same materials as the Scuba Diver course, so already you are on your way to continuing further dive adventures.
Anyone aged 15 or over qualifies for the PADI Scuba Diver program. If you are between the ages of 10 and 14, a PADI Junior Scuba Diver program is available. A PADI Instructor will ask you to complete some paperwork, which includes a medical questionnaire, Liability Release, and a Safe Diving Statement. After the paperwork is complete and you have the necessary signatures, it's time to dive!

PADI's Scuba Review program is designed to get you back in the water - comfortably! You will benefit from a Scuba Review experience if you're:
The Scuba Review program consists of two parts - a Knowledge Review and a Confined Water Skills Review. The Knowledge Review segment covers basic safety information you learned during your entry-level training. The only material you need is the Scuba Tune Up Multimedia or the guidebook.
The Confined Water Skills Review will give you the opportunity to practice basic scuba skills. With guidance from a PADI Member, you will update and fine-tune your diving skills.
There is also an optional supervised open water dive. This recommended dive offers the opportunity to obtain an environmental orientation to a local site from a PADI Member as well as the comfort of supervised diving.
Anyone age 10 or older may participate in the Scuba Review program. You must have a scuba certification or be enrolled in a scuba training program to complete this experience.

PADI Open Water DiverNow is the time to Dive-Into the PADI Open Water Diver course, the most popular dive program in the world! This is your ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure with PADI, a dive company that sets the standards in the global diving community.
Throughout the course, you'll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You will also earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification that is recognised worldwide. You earn this rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water dives.
As a certified PADI Open Water Diver you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional. Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. At some point in the course, your PADI Instructor will ask you to demonstrate the ability to swim 200 metres/yards without swim aids or 300 metres/yards with mask, fins and snorkel and complete a bit of paperwork, to get you on your way. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.

The Adventures In Diving program offers you a structured program where you gain additional experience and skills under the guidance of a PADI Professional.
PADI's Adventures In Diving program has something for everyone. This in-water, performance-based program provided by Dive-In includes dives from the following:
The PADI Adventures In Diving program offers two certification options. Complete any three Adventure Dives to earn the PADI Adventure Diver rating. Complete the Deep and Underwater Navigation Adventure Dives and three additional Adventure Dives (five total) and earn a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. Divers between the ages of 12-14 can earn a Junior Advanced Open Water Diver rating. The maximum recommended depth for adventure dive is 30 metres/100 feet.
PADI Adventure Divers and Advanced Open Water Divers (15 years of age and older) may participate in PADI Wreck and Deep Diver Specialities. PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification lets you continue on to the PADI Rescue Diver or Junior Rescue Diver course. And, provided you meet minimum age requirements for individual courses, you may take PADI Specialities such as Cavern Diver (18 years), Semiclosed Rebreather-Dolphin/Atlantis/Ray (15 years), and Search and Recovery (12 years).
What's more, PADI Adventure Dives also count towards PADI Speciality Diver certifications. For example, if you like night diving and want to earn your PADI Night Diver rating, your Night Adventure Dive counts as the first dive of the speciality.

Want to be ready in an emergency? Then this program is for you! The PADI EFR® program covers basic training for cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency care. In addition, it's a medically based program covering primary care, secondary care and treatments following national consensus guidelines.
The program is designed for divers and non-divers, and also meets the CPR and first aid prerequisite for earning your PADI Rescue Diver rating.

PADI Rescue Diver
How do you take a subject like accident prevention and management and turn it into fun? Call it the PADI Rescue Diver program!
The PADI Rescue Diver program develops your knowledge and skills so you can effectively perform diver assists and rescues, manage diving accident situations and render first aid. The program is an important step in expanding your knowledge and experience as a diver. PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent) certification is also a prerequisite for all PADI leadership programs.
To get into the PADI Rescue Diver program, you'll need to be certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and must be at least 15 years old. The PADI Junior Rescue Diver program is available if you're between the ages of 12 and 14 and hold a PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver rating.
You'll also need to have successfully completed the PADI EFR® program or a sanctioned program in CPR within the past 24 months. The PADI Rescue Diver program covers:
