Jurg Dahler
is an experienced multilingual award winning PADI Platinum Course
Director, the only one of its kind, based in Cyprus in the Eastern
Mediterranean. Teaching at least six to eight Instructor Development
Courses per year he is up-to-date with the latest training agency
standards and the diving industry as a whole. When Jurg is not
teaching IDC’s he takes the position of the Managing Director of
FineGlobe Diving Services Ltd. FineGlobe DS Ltd. is a Dive Centre
Service and Support Organization providing PADI Materials and other
Services to the Diving Industry and its entities. Jurg is teaching
everything from Discover Scuba Diving Experiences to Dive Masters.
With this commitment he always has his finger on the pulse of the
diving industry and his teaching skills. He is a true role-model and
his enthusiasm and excitement for the protection of the under water
world is renowned in the industry. Jurg is also a very experienced
EFR, EFR First Aid @ Work & DAN Instructor Trainer, and a Course
Director for the Handicapped Scuba Association. Working with the
PADI System and Materials on various levels is giving Jurg the
complete understanding of these important matters and is able to
communicate this experience to his candidates.
In 2006 Jurg received the prestigious PADI Award
"Recognition of Outstanding Contributions to the Dive Industry".
Jurg is 42 years old and was born in Switzerland. Since the early nineties Jurg has worked as a diving instructor and Manager of various diving centers full time. For the last 15 years this has taken him to many fantastic destinations such as Kenya, Mexico, the Caribbean, Maldives, Switzerland, United Kingdom, the Red Sea and Cyprus, giving him a vast knowledge and experience.
Jurg is offering his professional IDC’s through Dive-In “Centre of Excellence” the most professional and well established PADI Five Star Career Development Center in Cyprus. Through teaching his IDC’s in various locations giving every participant the required flexibility in choosing where and when to take the important step to become a true professional PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor. The IDC’s run over a period of eight days giving everybody the necessary time to make the progress from an instructional assistant to a fully functioning PADI instructor. There is always a three days Pre-IDC Preparation Course to ensure full understanding of all subjects. Making the transition from a Co-Pilot into the Captain’s seat is the most important step taught in the Instructor Program. Explaining and understanding the PADI system and all parts of it will make the instructors comfortable and competent. That’s why the educational environment used is equipped with the most recent teaching tools and all relevant PADI materials on the market.
The preparation process for the IDC candidates starts well before the PADI Instructor Development Course. As soon as a booking for any of the courses is received, the candidates will receive study guidelines to get the dive theory and the dive skills up to the required level directly from Jurg. This ensures that everybody can focus on the new information provided without any distraction.
After the successful completion of the IDC, Jurg can offer all PADI Instructor Specialty Courses, EFR Instructor and EFR First Aid at Work Instructor Programs and all DAN (Divers Alert Network) Training Courses.
